By now you know that I have been working on my first book, “Resurrection People: A Journey from Easter to Pentecost.” What is the book about? Well…it’s about the resurrection, but also about what that means for the Christian and for the world.
The resurrection shapes the very heart of the Christian. More than a mere doctrinal affirmation, the resurrection is a transforming reality. We not only believe in resurrection, we are Resurrection People.
I am so excited to unveil the cover art! Shout out to the talented and thoughtful Darek Latta! The cover art conveys the beauty of Easter along with its depth. I am so thankful for Deacon Darek taking on this project and coming up with such a beautiful piece.
I also want to say thanks to my sister-in-law, Amber Sharpe, for her skilled eye and input!
I recently finished the rough draft of the book and it now goes to the line editor for corrections. I can’t wait to share it with you. The book is written with everyone in mind and will serve as an individual devotional, a guide for churches, or just a meaningful read!
I’d also love your help!
If you can join in this endeavor, you can simply Venmo me at @preston_sharpe. I will send you an early, PDF version of the book before it is released to those who give $20 or more.
Help me get the word out! I’d love for you to share this post with your friends and family. This book is for everyone and I hope that it serves as a witness to Christ’s resurrection.
As always, your paid subscriptions to The Art of Preaching makes a big difference in supporting our work. The Deep Dive subscription is BY FAR the best value (about 15 pages of notes per week). If the yearly price is too high, please reach out to me about monthly payment options.
Would your church benefit from hearing more about being a “resurrection people”? So many people are looking for hope, for a true and lasting source of joy. I’d love if you would want to host a book signing sometime during the Easter season (Late April-early June, 2025) or even beyond, because we are always Easter people!
More soon!
